Meet Our Team
Principal & Founder
Leveraging more than two decades of experience in executive-level roles in some of the industry’s most prominent companies, including Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, and others, Charlie Guyer has worked in both agency environments and at venture-backed start-ups. Throughout his career he has successfully designed impactful programs tailored to meet specific business objectives. He holds a M.S. in Marketing Communications from Boston University, and a B.S. in English from the University of New Hampshire.
Kevin brings a diverse mix of skills and experience to Guyer Group, including global PR agency management, media and analyst relations, internal communications, and content strategy. Most recently, Kevin ran corporate communications at NETSCOUT, where he was responsible for a global program that included a 12-country PR agency network, a bespoke analyst relations program, thought leadership, events, and executive communications.
Kevin has helped Nobel Peace Prize winners write speeches and even served as a bodyguard for one. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Colby College and a Master’s degree in Political Communications from Emerson College.
VP of Client Services
With 25 years of experience working in public relations for a variety of clients spanning venture-backed startups to Fortune 500 and Inc. 5000 companies, Alana has developed and executed award-winning, integrated public relations programs that advance clients’ marketing and thought leadership initiatives through dialogue with key influencers. A former vice president with Weber Shandwick Worldwide, the world’s largest public relations agency, Alana is responsible for directing overall account team activities and managing client objectives for Guyer’s cybersecurity portfolio.
A graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a B.S. in public relations, Alana also held positions at public relations agencies Hornercom, Neva Group, and Rourke & Company.
Director of Content
Denise Culver began her career in technology journalism in 1996, writing about the payphone and prepaid phone card industries. She spent five years expanding her tech and telco expertise writing for industry powerhouses like Interactive Week, tele.com, and Wireless Review. She then served as Markets Editor on The Net Economy, a biweekly publication that covered the North American service provider market. Culver spent 12 years at Heavy Reading, an industry analyst firm focused on the global telecoms marketplace, where she was an industry analyst and Online Research Director.
She currently is Director of Content with Guyer Group, a communications consultancy for technology companies. Culver is a past winner of the American Business Media Association’s Jesse Neal Award for editorial achievement and a graduate of Texas A&M University.
